JOAN JANÉ

Joan Jané has a doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and has an Executive MBA from ESADE Business School and a PDG from IESE Business School, as well as a master’s degree in Innovation Leadership from Stanford University. Currently, and for 5 years, he has been a professor in the Department of Operations, Information and Technology at IESE Business School, professor and academic director of the MBA program and various in-company programs at the aforementioned business school. Prior to this position, Joan Jané was linked to the HP company as a manager for more than 25 years, where he held multiple roles and functions, acquiring extensive experience in the management of operations, production, logistics and global supply chains. Joan is a member of several Boards of Directors and performs consultancy work in operations and strategy.

JORGE MOTJÉ

Jorge Motjé is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Barcelona and PDG from IESE. He started his career at Miebach in Barcelona (1990), with the position of project manager specializing in supply chain structures. Between 1993 and 1996, he joined the Frankfurt office and during 1996 and 1998 he ran the Miebach office in India, where he was also managing director. In 1999 he returned to Barcelona, holding the position of General Manager of Miebach Spain until 2011, when he was appointed CEO of the Miebach Group. He has extensive international experience, having developed projects in Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.

Blanca Drake has a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid (CUNEF) and a master’s degree in Business Management and Marketing from the IE Business School. Her professional career has been linked to the Telefónica Group, holding positions in Corporate Strategy, Commercial or Marketing departments. In 2015 she joined the company’s open innovation area (Telefónica Open Innovation / Wayra) and is currently responsible for marketing the entire innovation area of the Group. She also coordinates the Scale up Women Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Program. Also. Blanca has participated in ESADE’s Leadership in Social Innovation program and in Promociona, CEOE’s executive program for women in senior management.

He is currently responsible for the Retail and Fashion sector at Google Spain, and his professional career has been linked to this sector for the last 20 years. Before joining Google in 2013, Jorge held the positions of Multichannel Director and Commercial and Marketing Director at Pc City, and Director of Marketing and Electronic Commerce at Worten.

Alfonso Calatrava has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid and in Market Research and Techniques from the same University. He also has a master’s degree in Multivariate Data Analysis from the UNED. Alfonso Calatrava brings more than 15 years of experience in advertising effectiveness measurement and digital marketing, having worked for market research companies such as Ipsos. GFK and Millward Brown, and more recently in big technology companies like Google, Twitter or Meta. He currently leads the Marketing Science area at Facebook.

María Tena is a Senior Industrial Organization Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. She began her career at AECOC in 2006 and has been the director of the Logistics and Transportation area since 2021, after having developed the management of this area for 7 years. As director of Logistics and Transport, she seeks to reinforce AECOC’s commitment to the competitiveness of the supply chain, jointly promoting projects related to urban mobility, digitization and sustainability with companies. Before joining AECOC, María Tena worked in process reengineering and systems implementation in the consulting sector.

Diego Díaz is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has an executive postgraduate degree in Venture Capital from the University of Berkeley. He currently leads the Iberdrola-Ventures Perseo program, endowed with €175 million to invest in start-ups in the energy sector. Additionally, he leads the Technological Foresight group, responsible for analyzing the potential of key technologies for the future of the energy sector, building internal models of costs and competitiveness of technologies for the decarbonisation of the electricity sector and the electrification of demand. Before his time at Iberdrola, Diego held various positions related to engineering, technological development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Susana Gato has a degree in Political Science and Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid, has postgraduate studies in “Corporate Reputation Management and Communication” from IE Business School, in “Corporate Responsibility Management” from UNED and a Master’s in “Management audiovisual” by EAE Business School. With more than 20 years of experience in the media sector, 15 of them working in sustainability functions, she is currently Director of Corporate Responsibility at Atresmedia and Deputy Director of Fundación Atresmedia. It is also a member of the “Responsible Media Forum”, an association between 25 leading media companies worldwide to identify and take action on social and environmental problems relevant to the sector, and a participant in the preparation of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) that guides media companies to disclose their non-financial aspects.

Jorge Barrero has a degree in Biochemistry and a master’s degree in Science, Technology and Society Studies from the University of Salamanca. He has been General Director of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, with Cristina Garmendia, exercising functions in the general coordination of the Ministry’s political action, and supervising the public agenda, parliamentary activity and relations with the media. He was attached to the presidency and general secretary of ASEBIO, the Spanish Association of Biocompanies, and previously developed his career in the field of strategic consulting in the biotechnology sector and in the public R&D system. He is currently the general director of the Cotec Foundation for Innovation and is a regular contributor to the media and a teacher at various universities and business schools.

Sandra Pina has a degree in Business Administration from ESADE and postgraduate training in Communication from IE Business School. Sandra is currently General Director of Quiero, a pioneering platform in Spain in the sustainability, brand and business equation for 11 years, and General Director of Sustainable Brands in Spain, in addition to being part of the Global Advisory Board of Sustainable Brands (SB) . From SB, Sandra has introduced sustainability concepts in Spain that were previously unknown in our country, such as “Circular Economy” and “Positive Net Impact”, in 2015 and 2016; “Purpose”, in 2017; “Regeneration”, in 2018; or “Moonshot thinking”, in 2019. Before directing Quiero and SB, Sandra has worked in consumer multinationals, such as Kellogg’s and Danone, managing a multitude of brands. Sandra has also been an associate professor at the Instituto de Empresa for more than 10 years and is a benchmark in sustainability, business and brands, being a regular speaker at international forums of all kinds, such as BNEW or the Club of Rome, and also in companies such as ING, L’Oréal, 3M, among many others.
